L.B.M.-St.E.Steeple Cab Electric E1 |
2-axle electric loco, blue livery, pantograph type current collector, no lighting |
In 1913, AEG delivered to Aktiengesellschaft Lokalbahn Mixnitz - St. Erhard the two narrow-gauge electric locos "Breitenau" and "Hochlantsch". "Breitenau" carried works number 1508, "Hochlantsch" carried works number 1509. The two locomotives were operated as E1 and E2. |
| Designed originally for a service voltage of 600V d.c., they were later converted to 800V. Their rated output was 150 HP. The locos were 5 metres long, yet their axle base was only 1.8 m and the wheel diameter 900 mm. Both locos were originally equipped with a lyra-shaped current collector but later on fitted with a pantograph-type one. Originally painted green, they now sport blue liveries. |
| The locos are occasionally still found running today. |
