Jenbacher Pony - twin pack , red, covered cab, one with snow plough, unpowered
The high level Reisseck railway operated at 2200 metres above sea level as a materials line for hydroelectric power schemes in the Malta valley area. (Near Kaernten in Austria). Today it is the linkline between a mountain station of a cable system (at Schoberboden) and a sports hotel. This section is 3.3 Km long and is used as a shuttle service for passengers and hotel supplies. The rest of the rail network is about 8Km long and is used for transport to dams and for the carriage of pressure piping. |
