Dandy riders of this design were in common use for track inspection and the transport of lanterns and signal equipment. During World War II they were even used as towing vehicles for light pit trucks. This design was made of metal tubes and wood. Four narrow gauge trolleys of this design from the stock of the COGEMA Company were rescued for the mining museum near Noyant (Allier).
