This private wagon from the Els series of the Railtrans Company (now VTG-France SAS) has been converted from a wagon with the identification marking TI Railtrans nomenclature) or else Fbs, where doors have been introduced in the original fixed rear wall. The massive inner reinforcement of the centre wall has been removed and replaced by welded-on inner longitudinal ribs. The brake layout has been improved.

The wagons are painted brown (RAL 8012) or green (RAL 6018)

Overall length between buffers 14.000mm Wheelbase 8.500mm with a load capacity of 101 m3 with a permitted overall total weight of 40t.

The wagons are fitted with Knorr type air brakes some wagons also having a handbrake operated by a 3 spoked hand wheel. Exceptionally an inspection door is available on the side wall. The outer chassis is tapered to the buffer backplate. Between the chassis members there is a sideways sloping bunker so that the normal load capacity may be increased by a further 10m3

This private wagon of Railtrans (now VTG-France SAS) are mainly used with other Railtrans wagons in block trains for the transport of wood shavings, sawdust, rags and waste paper They operate systematically between the large sawmills, paper mills and waste heaps throughout Europe.

Many Railtrans wagons in France have been built on the chassis of other types and are let out and registered by SCNF to other railway undertakings. Recently part of Railtrans depot has been taken over by the 'VTG-France SAS' company and these bear the individual owner markings.
