DFB HG2/3 6 "Weisshorn" order # 1292596 The four SLM Winterthur 1890 Steam locos HG2/3 1~4 with adhesion and cog drive wheel formed the first locos of Visp-Zermatt-Bahn. In 1893, 1902, 1906 and 1908 followed four more machines, and, from lok 6, in brighter livery. When the track was electrified in 1929 the first five locos were broken up; lok 8 survived until 1935. Lok 6 "Weisshorn" escaped the scrapyard – it moved to Havag Ems in 1941 as a working loco. From 1965 it was a monument in Chur until in 1988 it went to the museum line Furka-Bergstrecke. After 1990 it became the only operational steam engine between Realp and Tiefenbach and sported a blue/black livery. Today both DFB HG2/3 6 "Weisshorn" and MGB(BVZ) HG2/3 7 "Breithorn" carry the green/black livery of VZ. Metal handcrafted model of rack Loco HG2/3 6 in present green/black livery.
